In California, your child's neighborhood bully is likely to be the state. And if the state government can't successfully mandate absolute allegiance to its dictates, then a judicial buddy can do the dirty work.
California Justice H. Walter Croskey recently raised his fascist scepter and declared that "parents do not have a constitutional right to home school their children." According to the Associated Press, Croskey pontificated in his Feb. 28 opinion for the 2nd District Court of Appeals that "noncompliance could lead to criminal complaints against the parents." This decision comes suspiciously on the heels of SB 777, a bill coercing public school children to mentally feed on sexually illicit homosexual propaganda.
State educrats are sweating bullets as increasing numbers of California parents are removing their children from the public schools. The rebel cry has surprised government socialists accustomed to dominating the political landscape while marginalizing Christians. And since those favoring school choice, particularly homeschool parents, are leading the charge; it is they who are being attacked in this latest railroad attempt. The powers that be hope to intimidate both homeschool parents and those considering home education.
This latest judicial swipe at freedom is oddly timed in close conjunction with another California bill, SB 1322, introduced by Democrat Sen. Alan Lowenthal. In contrast to a host of bills diminishing freedom for families across California, this new bill gives free reign to communists to teach and influence young people in public schools and colleges.

Shocked? While it appears we may have won the Cold War against communism abroad, the pox is alive and well in today's America, and it seems impervious to resistance by force.
A bit of politically incorrect history sheds light on why some members of government want to give communists special rights, while removing rights from Christian families.
According to Dr. Gerald L. Atkinson, author of "The New Totalitarians: Bosnia as the Mirror of America's Future," most Americans are unaware that "they are being led by social revolutionaries" bent on "the destruction of the existing social order" for the purpose of creating a new world.
In the 1930s, intellectual Marxists migrating from Germany entered several major U.S. universities such as Princeton and U.C. Berkeley. With their ultimate goal to restructure America, these men decided that "enforced conformism" would achieve their communist goals through a "quiet" revolution. One adherent, Abraham Maslow, devised several of the methods used to brainwash students in public schools today, namely employing teachers to facilitate classes as "amateur group therapists" rather than as teachers of academics.
A prime example of this, a film titled "It's Elementary," documents actual public school classroom discussions where teachers encourage young children to share their feelings about homosexuality. Segments of the video show children questioning the moral guidance of their Christian parents. Children are guided to view those objecting to the homosexual lifestyle as hateful and bigoted. As Atkinson states, Maslow's goal aimed "to convince children they [are] the sole authority in their own lives." This would change their worldview into a malleable mindset ripe for manipulation by the state and without interference from Christian parents.
Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Marxist admired by Hillary Clinton, once complained about Christianity's pronounced influence saying that "a culture based on this religion could only be captured from within." He ventured that Western civilization could best be seized by linking arms with, as Atkinson puts it, "non-Communist leftist groups … essential to Communist victory." Atkinson continues, "In our time, these would include radical feminist groups, extremist environmental organizations, so-called civil rights movements, anti-police associations, internationalist-minded groups, liberal church denominations and others."
And dare I add public school indoctrination centers to the list? Atkinson asserts that "working together, these groups could create a united front working for the destructive transformation of the old Judeo-Christian culture of the West."
In light of this, it is no surprise that socialist-minded government elites, along with their judicial cousins, are so at odds with the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In recent legislative moves in California, they attack the Establishment Clause by threatening criminal penalty to parents home educating their children for the purpose of teaching Christian values. They attack freedom of speech by shaming the few Christian children displaying the fortitude to speak truth in a classroom. Throughout California and elsewhere, they create news blackouts in their own self-serving socialist media outlets to keep public school parents uninformed.
Contrast Justice H. Walter Croskey's recent move against homeschool parents with Sen. Lowenthal's bill favoring communists. On the one hand, Croskey and his ilk demand that Christian homeschool parents enroll their children in institutions that forbid them to talk about Christ. Yet on the other hand, Lowenthal and his socialist buds in the California legislature demand that there be no prohibition against any public school teacher "teaching communism with the intent to indoctrinate or to inculcate in the mind of any pupil a preference for communism."
In short, if Croskey gets his way, then parents will be charged criminally if they teach Christian morality, while public school teachers are free to teach communist dogma.
But whether or not Croskey achieves his aim, another goal is being sought – that of intimidating parents into state conformity. After all, if enforceable coercion is not an option, then they can seek to overcome resistance through the mass psychology of fear in the hope that parents conform to state demands.
What they fail to realize is that the homeschool movement, rooted in spiritual purpose, was birthed in the American spirit of bold freedom. We are wise to the enemy's tactics. And capitulation is not an option.
